Labor Day marks the unofficial end of summer on the Las Vegas Strip. Although the city’s pool season lasts until November, attention is turning to the main event—the F1 Las Vegas Race Week!

The F1 Las Vegas Race Week is not your typical motorsport event. It’s the biggest race of the year, combining high speed with the vibrant allure of the Entertainment Capital of the World! This unique experience offers an adrenaline-fueled spectacle of race cars and immersion into the lively nightlife and attractions of Las Vegas.

About F1 Las Vegas Race Week

From the first year the race came to Las Vegas, we learned that getting tickets early is crucial for an unforgettable experience. Prime viewing spots enhance the thrill of the F1 Las Vegas race.

Getting around Las Vegas during Race Week requires planning, even for an experienced local like me! This can include utilizing rideshares like Uber and Lyft and trams along The Strip. The construction of temporary bridges, grandstands, and designated watch zones along Las Vegas Boulevard and its surrounding streets creates a bustling atmosphere that is more challenging to navigate than usual.

The F1 Las Vegas track winds through the city, offering a backdrop of neon lights and iconic landmarks. The drivers face a high-speed challenge on tight turns, long straights along the Vegas Strip, and parallel roads. Fans witness a thrilling blend of precision and velocity, which makes each moment unpredictable. Grand Prix parties and concerts blend motorsport thrills with the city’s entertainment legacy.

The Strip and surrounding streets will form the Las Vegas street circuit. The race cars will zip down Koval Lane, around Sphere, onto Sands Avenue, then race down the Vegas Strip’s Las Vegas Boulevard straightway at over 200 miles per hour before returning to The Pit Building on Harmon Avenue. These roads will be blocked off while the track is “hot” (race lingo for when the track is in use).
