Does Las Vegas have any beaches?

Vegas is not just for gamblers. Contrary to what you may have thought, it’s also a starting point for diverse beach experiences! Beach options abound, from luxurious resort clubs in the city to almost-natural beaches a short drive away from The Strip. Activities cater to all preferences, offering both relaxation and water play!

Does Vegas have nice beaches?

Allow me to introduce you to the other Las Vegas. The side of my home city that I always say tourists rarely get to know. Because Las Vegas beckons with more than its dazzling neon lights and bustling casino floors.

Many are surprised to discover that Las Vegas also serves as a gateway to diverse beach experiences, ranging from luxurious beach clubs within the heart of the desert to serene coastal retreats quietly tucked away as hidden jewels in the city’s suburbia resort casinos and luxury master-planned communities.

How far is Vegas from the beach?

Unfortunately, there are no ocean beaches close to Las Vegas. However, the closest beaches are located on The Strip, and another one is only a mile away.

The contrast between the man-made sands of the Rio Hotel’s Rio Pool and the natural-looking, sweeping vistas of the Desert Shores Lagoon Beach Park or Mandalay Bay’s Moorea Beach Club highlights the exciting duality of Las Vegas’s beach landscapes, which are surrounded by the city’s desert terrain.

These destinations offer a refreshing break from the constant energy of The Strip and provide everything you need for a coastal water getaway, from sandy beaches to waves, sunbathing and swimming, all while never leaving the luxurious envelope of Sin City!

The allure spans from man-made marvels to untouched scenic mountain views, offering a unique escape for every seeker.

How many beaches are in Las Vegas?

Las Vegas is situated in the heart of the desert, so there are no natural beaches here. However, some resort properties have created beach-like settings within the Mojave. Currently, there are seven man-made beaches in the Las Vegas Metropolitan area, starting with my favorite, the Lagoon Beach at Desert Shores Las Vegas.

Desert Shores Lagoon Beach Park Las Vegas

Desert Shores Lagoon Beach Park is off The Strip. A private master-planned community beach in suburbia, Summerlin, Las Vegas, built to look like a tropical lagoon, surrounded by sand and palm trees.

Rio Pool & Beach Las Vegas

Rio Pool at Rio Hotel & Casino is off The Strip. Formally Voodoo Beach, it’s a newly remodeled refreshing beach oasis!

Green Valley Ranch Beach Las Vegas

The Green Valley Ranch pool is off The Strip. Renowned for its sand-bottom beach entry, private cabanas, and relaxed atmosphere, the pool at Green Valley Ranch is one of the most popular beachy destinations in Las Vegas for both locals and visitors.

Sand Entry Pool at Tahiti Village Resort & Spa

Sand Entry Pool at Tahiti Village Resort & Spa is off The Strip. This island-inspired oasis is located on the far North end of Las Vegas Boulevard, less than two miles from the celebrated Las Vegas Strip.

The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa at Lake Las Vegas

The Westin Lake Las Vegas Resort & Spa is off The Strip. It’s a luxury resort with beach access and an upper-level pool where you can take in views of the lake and beach from a comfortable lounge chair or private cabana.

Mandalay Bay Beach Las Vegas

Mandalay Bay Beach at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino is on The Strip. An 11-acre aquatic playground with sandy shores and a wave pool hailed as one of the best pool experiences in the US!

Boulder Beach Lake Mead Las Vegas

Boulder Beach is located just minutes off the Las Vegas Strip in Boulder City, stretching more than a mile along the shoreline of the Boulder Basin of Lake Mead.

Which hotel in Vegas has a beach?

There are four Vegas hotels, one on The Strip and three off The Strip, each with a built-in beach.

Is Mandalay Bay Beach free?

Mandalay Bay Beach is the notable standout and a wonderful surprise on the Vegas Strip, with its beautiful beach and pool amenities that tempt you to take a dip!

However, such luxury comes at a cost. Being a registered guest at the property is enough to get you into the pools, which glisten in the sun and invite you to swim, splash, and soak. You can ride the tides in the beach’s wave pool or simply relax and float along the lazy river.

Can anyone swim at Mandalay Bay?

Mandalay Bay’s sandy beach oasis provides a relaxing getaway within close proximity to the city’s vibrant energy. However, please note that only hotel guests, paid day club attendees, or those who have rented one of the beach’s plush cabanas are permitted to access the Mandalay Beach oasis. Additionally, there are three beach bars and one beachside grill where guests can enjoy fruity cocktails and delicious food.

Las Vegas man-made beaches

Las Vegas beaches, often overshadowed by the city’s dazzling lights, offer a tranquil retreat for those willing to explore. Each destination provides a unique escape, from the family-friendly Tahiti Village Resort to the secluded beach clubs Las Vegas houses within its resorts and private communities.

For anyone seeking a Las Vegas getaway, remember that sometimes the real adventure begins where the city ends.
